One of the first faces you’ll see when you walk in Desertmotive belongs to Tom Hall, who takes a hands-on approach as the auto shop’s manager. Tom prides himself on “truly earning a customer’s business through hard work, integrity, honesty, reliability, value and great service.”

Tom says that working on cars is in his blood. He grew up learning the business from his father, a trade mechanic. For many years, his dad also owned and operated his own auto repair shop. Tom followed in his dad’s automotive footsteps by landing a job with one of the nation’s largest tire chains, where he spent 12  years working at various facilities and advancing in management. Tom joined Desertmotive in 2002. Today, he is responsible for quality control, customer relations, human resources, supplies, sales, inventory and scheduling.

“I love working in the repair and maintenance area of the automotive industry,” says Tom. “I’ve always had a knack for diagnosing automotive issues, and I truly enjoy helping people. This is the perfect job for me.”

One of Tom’s objectives is to make Desertmotive a personalized auto maintenance facility, which means forging a successful and rewarding partnership with customers, mechanics and suppliers alike. Says Tom, “I’m especially proud of our shop’s 100% customer satisfaction rating. I make it my mission every day to maintain that.”
Susan - Owner, Office Manager
Susan Oxford, Co-Owner, Operator and Office Manager
Susan and her husband, Bill Oxford, had always dreamed of owning their own automotive repair business and decided to take a “huge leap of faith” and make that dream a reality in 2001. From day one, the primary focus of the business has been on offering top quality customer service in an honest, friendly and trustworthy environment. As a mother of two young children, Susan also places strong emphasis on customer convenience, because she understands how difficult it can be for people to be away from their jobs or homes throughout the day when auto repairs and maintenance are needed.

   “Our goal is to offer old-fashioned personalized service,” says Susan. “We treat every vehicle and customer with care. We get to know people by name.”  
Susan brings 30 years of experience in the automotive and trucking industries with her to Desertmotive. For many years, Susan worked in sales for several top national and international trucking and freight companies. Throughout her career, Susan has been responsible for all aspects of customer service, public relations, marketing, credit analysis, scheduling, business management, revenue growth and promotions.
